redirecting traffic

Our company was sold and so was our web site. We want to redirect the good traffic we were getting from the sold site to the same pages with new company look to the new company site. What is the best way to do this?
metatags redirects?
have the the sold company url point to the new url and have the same directory structure in the new url as the old url?

what is the best way to go? We do not want to lose the good positioning we have worked hard to achieve in the old site.
