meta tag "Pragma" effecting Search Engine Index

First off great info, I can't stop reading this stuff. I am testing the waters so to speak and would like to know if the meta tag "pragma" no-cache or "expires" has any effect on the Search Engine Indexing. I have new products being added pretty frequently and would like all visitors to see a fresh page not cached. I added them and my page listing dropped to nothing.
