REAL NAMES, what's the advantage??

Hello,

As an internet beginner I explored the features on Alta Vista. To
register your page on the Alta Vista they also recommended to subscribe to
"REAL NAMES" .

However, i do not understand what is the additional benefit of subscribing
to "REAL NAMES" besides subscribing to Alta Vista. As far as my understanding
goes, you can control the search results through mega-tags for description and
key words. If I for example would like to promote the brandname "Cookiemonster"
I would add it on the megatag. So why do you need Real Names for?

Presumably I'm wrong so who can give me the answer?
