Personally, I don't like that idea. I believe your page should be able to stand on its own merit. If you need to change it after it has been indexed, then who are you trying to fool?

I don't have a problem with 'borrowing' from top rated sites and incorporating those 'things' into your overall design. But submitting one page and then changing to another smells a bit rotten to me.
