adding to "noindex" Meta Tag posted by Pete

>I have a page with a good position on Infoseek. I'd like to make a change to the page without effecting my position. If I make a change, then add at a "noindex" robots Meta tag to my page, will that prevent my page from being re-indexed the next time the spider comes back? Or, will this tag cause my current listing to be removed? Just need to clarify on how adding the "noindex" tag effects a page that is already indexed. Thanks!

If you change any file, the robot will notice the date is newer and read the page. If nothing major has changed, you might not see a position change.

If it is already indexed, and you add a NOINDEX tag, they will obey your wishes and delete it from their index.
