I have never had any problems with a TRUE virtual domain - that's where
the URL looks like http://www.myplace.com (and I own the domain) although
the server may be run by anywhere.net
These can be moved from anywhere.net to somewhere.net and the URL is still
going to be myplace.com because some magic happens with the domain name
lookup tables. The tables have an entry that says myplace.com=anywhere.net
thet can be changed to myplace.com=somewhere.net

The "virtual domains" that could have problems would be one where the URLs look
like this http://myplace.theirplace.com because "myplace" is NOT a unique
domain. It's just a subdomain of theirplace.com If you try to move one of these,
the name would change to http://myplace.somewhere.net and there go your links.
