I don't believe so. While checking up on my
own site, I noticed a very recent addition to
the Yahoo listings under Sports - Cycling -
Cyclists where the listed site was in fact a
sub-page within a larger domain.

Perhaps their policies vary from one category
to another, but I do not believe there is any
general policy of the rumored nature.
