Rowspan command question

Hi,

New to this forum. I did a search on rowspan= and came up empty.

I am new to the rowspan= comand. This command is used to make SEs see your "content text" and the cell it is in first.

I have two diferent scenerio/questions:

1) You have a 4 cell table. In cell 4 is your "content text" or the cell you want the SE to "see" first. In cell 2 is a three cell table. Would rowspan=3 or would rowspan=6?

2) You have 2 tables that are seperate. In the 2nd table is a cell that contains the "content text" or what you want the SE to see first. Does the rowspan= command span tables? Or is there another command to force this?
