How much space is good?

Hello,

I just ran a "Free Space" program on my hard disk, and was unsure of what the "warning level" of space is in Kbytes.

I realize it depends on if you are adding more software, but what would be a red flag in Kbytes if you are an "average" user and plan on minimal software enhancements?
