On balance I think e-commerce site are getting much better. At least that's what I thought until I saw this Flash monstrosity. Every few seconds I got a popup asking me to download Flash 5.0 . This site takes the prize for inappropriate animation.
These people sell (or try to sell) medical books. You'd think they'd borrow a few pointers from Amazon or B&N. They should have the good sense to realize doctors and medical students have mostly been on the web for years, and are more likely to be impressed with a fast site than some slow cartoony animation.
