I agree.

Set the secure ordering up now with a limited number of your stock items (the expected top sellers that you can ship quickly - remember the web is all about convenience and speed) and use these to fully test your system in a live environment.

When you are completely satisfied that everything is working as it should, then you can start adding the rest of your stock.
