I have found ffa, bbs, newsgroups basically not worth the time. I have found a method for promoting sites in my area of interest which I prefer to keep to myself. The next best are Directories, Affiliates (set up your own affiliate program or use Clickbank) and Search Engines. I don't bother with anything else. I also found that submitting manually works best. I used several 'submission' programs and not one of them EVER even got me listed on any of the top 12 or so Engines! Hope that helps..
