reciprocal links

Hi,

I've searched this site but couldn't find any chains on this subject.

I'm trying to build up a set of quality reciprocal links. As you
know most of them require a link back from your site.

However, I don't necessarily want the site visitors to see a
bunch of irrelevant links scattered around on my web site.

Does anyone know what the convention is?

Can I collate all the links on a page that is not necessarily
accessible from the menu?

I'd appreciate if you can help me out please.
