>Does anyone know about these "popup" programs. This is where you allow another browser to open at the bottom when someone comes to your site. In turn, your page opens on someone elses site. I tried one and it did increase my traffic but within 72 hours, I was booted off Altavista, All the web and Lycos according to Add Web 3. Do you think this had anything to do with the popups or just one of those things? I hadn't made any other drastic changes in that time. My site is still very new and seems to fluxuate quite a bit on the search engines aside from AOL and Yahoo. The html for this goes in your "head". I was just thinking maybe it triggered something with the spiders.

As far as I can tell, yes. If you have too many pop ups, some engines say NO. Learn more at searchenginewatch.com
