No Keywords, No Description, #2 on Alta Vista... Go Figure! From Brett LaCroix on 14 Dec '98 If you search for "Spy Software" on Alta Vista, #2 is "Bonus Spy Software" which is a page on my site with NO keywords and No Description! This page must have been indexed automatically, because I have never submitted this page. The #4 spot is also mine (a page that actually contains keywords and was submitted once), but it is a "secondary" forwarding site on Xoom, and not on my own domain. Just goes to show that sometimes, doing nothing, gets you the best results... or maybe, figuring out search engines is just not possible. Either way, it's frustrating to have a page you spent ZERO effort in promoting, out rank all the other's that you spent HOURS on! Brett
