But if a search engine does not read metatags, and the content of our pages are primarily GIFs, what sort of interpretation will search engines make? you can place description un your ALT tags. or you can change the format to JPEG, that has almost no problems. In order to do that open the image in any picture editor (Paint brush) and save it as a file JPG, in many you can ask for the right compression so the picture still looks good but the size is small and faster to load.
