how to group keywords

I'm trying to get a free job listing site up and running. It's tough - no search engine listing => no hits => no content => no Yahoo listing, etc, etc. It might help if I can get listed by one of the robot-driven search engines.

I use a META keywords tag with the following:

mining, mineral, minerals, exploration, geophysicist, geophysical, geophysicists, recruit, recruitment, recruiting, position, vacancy, career opportunity, job, jobs, employment, positions

First of all, can anyone tell me whether the order in which these keywords are listed makes any difference. Secondly, does having the plural form of a word help or hinder. I would also appreciate comments on my use of the keywords within the site, and on my title. Any other comments on the site in general would be a bonus.
